Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Wanda Thomasino,
I grew up in Mobile, Alabama where I graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School.
I then attended Auburn University, got married to a Birmingham guy, had 3 children and then returned to school at UAB.
I began teaching at Lee Elementary in 1990 in the 5th grade, switched to 3rd grade and then Reading Recovery before becoming an ARI Reading Coach.
The merger with Powderly, Price and Lee Schools that formed the new West End Academy this year left me (with only 21 years at Lee) without seniority as a reading coach and opened up a fantastic opportunity for me in a second grade classroom at Princeton.
I am excited about working with my new class and look forward to meeting their parents too!
